Thomas Puéchavy
Thomas Puéchavy is a passionate winemaker based in Nazelles-Négron, in the heart of the Loire Valley, a stone's throw from Vouvray. His estate, created from 3 hectares of old Chenin vines , some of which are up to 80 years old, was immediately converted to organic farming. As a true wine craftsman, Thomas practices respectful viticulture, without weedkillers or chemicals, preferring gentle treatments and living soils. In the cellar, he adopts a minimalist approach. The vinifications are natural, without inputs, and the extended barrel aging allows the wines to reveal all the purity and mineral tension of Chenin , the region's king grape variety. His vintages, despite the proximity of Vouvray, are classified as Vin de France , the cellar being located outside the limits of the official appellation. Since his first vintage in 2019, Thomas Puéchavy has impressed with the precision and sincerity of his wines. Each of its bottles embodies the vibrant expression of the clay-limestone terroirs of the Loire Valley, offering a subtle aromatic palette, marked by freshness and elegance. Its wines today seduce lovers of demanding natural wines , and its estate has become a name to follow closely in the Loire wine landscape.
