Le Nadir

Domaine Le Nadir , founded in 2019 , is a project led by Fabien Perréard, a winemaker passionate about nature and the authentic expression of the terroir. Located a stone's throw from Saumur , in the Loire , this 1.7-hectare estate cultivates vines using organic farming , without chemical treatments, with total respect for the environment. Fabien favors a manual and careful approach to viticulture. The vines, old and particularly well maintained, benefit from manual work which enhances their character and ensures natural vinification. The estate cultivates local grape varieties such as Chenin , Grolleau and Cabernet Franc. These old vines are vinified in the traditional way with indigenous yeasts , with the aim of producing authentic, unfiltered wines with little or no sulfites . This respectful winemaking process allows the typicity of the terroir to be fully expressed while preserving the purity and finesse of the grapes. The aging is intended to be quite long in cellars dug into the tuffeau. Among the estate's vintages, " Azimut " (a vibrant and mineral Chenin Blanc) and " La Nuit, le Silence" 2022 (a red wine made from Grolleau, light and refined) are perfect examples of the winemaker's delicate and passionate work. These wines reflect the estate's commitment to high-quality production and a vision of sustainable viticulture, where every gesture counts to reveal the beauty of the terroir.
