Pierre Deville

Located in Verzy, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, Domaine Pierre Deville is the 4th generation of winegrowers to be led by Alban Corbeaux. He took over the estate in 2017 with a very specific idea in mind: to produce a Champagne with a personal identity. And what better place to do this than in the village of Verzy, classified as a 100% Grand Crup? On his 5 hectares of vines, Alban can play with Pinot Noir - the village's king grape variety - and Chardonnay. And where does Pierre Deville fit into all this? It was none other than Alban's great-grandfather who, in 1963, began to make his own champagnes without the help of the big houses.
Little by little, Alban Corbeaux decided to work his vines organically, then to vinify as naturally as possible. The wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts and the use of sulphur is strictly limited. Alban has progressed and defined his style, vintage after vintage, in a completely contemporary aesthetic: little or no dosage, champagnes made froma single vintageand very delicate bubbles.
