Domaine Léon

Clément Robert of Domaine Leon is based in Landreville, on the Côte des Bar. In 2019, he will be taking over the family estate, which until then had worked with the Champagne trade. Usingorganic farming methods, the estate's various plots are spread all around Landreville. The main grape varieties are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. This first vintage includes a Blanc de Noirs, ' Enchevêtrer ', and a Blanc de Blancs, ' La Grande Côte'.
We met Clément through Benoit Doussot, Champagne Clandestin. Like Benoit, Clément is committed to making champagnes froma single vintage, unfined and vinified as naturally as possible. We were impressed by the quality of Clément's work for a first vinification. A special mention for the two red Coteaux Champenois in 2019, one of each Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
