Marthe Henry
Marthe Henry began her career in Paris in the world of journalism. Granddaughter of Pierre Boillot, she was eventually caught up by her origins and returned to the family village of Meursault in 2017. She trained at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune, then at the Domaine Rougeot in Meursault. In 2017, she began her own négoce with a few pieces of Bourgogne Blanc and Meursault. In 2023, she will take over part of the family vineyard.
Marthe Henry is an adept of simple, unvarnished vinification. The wines ferment naturally, and she limits intervention but does not refrain from correcting what needs to be corrected.
Vinification is sulfur-free, and the wines are filtered very little before bottling. Aging is long, at least 18 months, and mostly in oak barrels.
Marthe likes to take the time to do things right, and this is one of the reasons why her wines are so popular today.
