Vincent Gaudry
A winemaker rooted in tradition with a visionary touch
Vincent Gaudry, a rising star in Sancerre, shines from his estate nestled in the heart of the peaceful village of Sury en Vaux, just 3 kilometers from the village of Sancerre in the Loire. It embodies the heritage of a line of winegrowers going back several generations. What sets Vincent apart is his determination in his respectful approach to nature.
A committed approach to biodynamic viticulture
Today, Vincent Gaudry's estate is certified Organic Agriculture and is rigorously committed to biodynamics. His credo is based on a fundamental principle: not to upset the land or the vines, but to accompany them so that they can fully reveal their essence in the wines.
Honoring the past as a guiding principle
Vincent considers himself above all a transmitter of traditions. He has a deep respect for the work of previous generations who shaped the Sancerre appellation, making it the land of choice for the Sauvignon grape variety.
A faithful and vibrant expression of Sancerre
Its objective is to pamper the grape variety to fully express the terroir. Vincent Gaudry's wines embody this philosophy, offering a faithful interpretation of Sancerre's identity and a daring exploration of the appellation's taste horizons.
Depth, tension and minerality in every sip
With around 11 hectares of vines, including 2 hectares dedicated to Pinot Noir and 9 hectares to Sauvignon. Vincent Gaudry goes far beyond the simple expression of fruit. His wines have great depth and bring out the expression of the Sancerre terroir. On the nose, its vintages are very expressive with fruity and powerful notes, or aromas of flowers and white fruits. On the palate, they offer generous amplitude and nice tension, capturing the mineral side of Sauvignon.
A work of passion and commitment
Vincent Gaudry's vintages are the embodiment of passion for the terroir, always crafted with meticulous care.
Vincent Gaudry produces wines that transcend time and expectations, honoring the past while shaping the future. Its vintages reflect a commitment to nature, a respect for the past and a bold vision for the future, lighting the way for respectful, high-quality viticulture.
