Maison Gautheron d'Anost
The commitment of a young Burgundy talent
Bastien Gautheron, after training with Olivier Leflaive, launched Maison Gautheron d'Anost in 2020. The vineyards he manages are mainly located in the appellations of Savigny-lès-Beaune for reds and the Hautes Côtes de Beaune for whites.
A gentle winemaking approach to showcase the terroir
To preserve the authenticity of the terroir, Bastien adopts a minimally interventionist winemaking style. He uses small-capacity stainless steel tanks, cooled only at vatting to allow for natural fermentation. The grapes are handled with care, with just two punch-downs before alcoholic fermentation, followed by daily pump-overs. The aging of the wines is done exclusively in oak barrels, with the oldest dating back to 2014.
Part of the white wines is aged in 350L barrels to preserve the delicacy of the juice without overpowering it with oak. For the reds, a slight passage through new oak barrels is allowed, but always less than 30%.
A strong commitment to sustainability
Committed to an ecological approach, Bastien uses bottles sourced from St-Prex, a Swiss glassmaker using 95% recycled glass. The labels are printed on 100% recycled paper, and the natural corks come from organic farming, certified TCA-free, thus reducing the carbon footprint.
