Maxime Magnon

Domaine Maxime Magnon , located in the heart of the Corbières appellation, is the fruit of the passion of a Burgundian winemaker who has been based in Villeneuve-les-Corbières since 2002. After being trained by emblematic figures such as Philippe Valette and Thierry Allemand , Maxime Magnon has successfully combined Burgundian tradition and Languedoc terroir to produce authentic and elegant wines. The vineyard covers 14 hectares, cultivated with a deep respect for the environment. The soils, composed of limestone and schist, are worked manually and with the help of crawlers, without the use of pesticides or insecticides, thus promoting biodiversity. During the winter, a herd of sheep, donkeys and cows graze freely in the vines, contributing to the natural maintenance of the plots. The dominant red grape varieties are Carignan (50%), Grenache Noir (28%), Cinsault (20%), and Syrah (2%). For the whites, Grenache Gris predominates (70%), complemented by Grenache Blanc (25%) and Macabeu (5%). Vinification is done in whole bunches in concrete vats, without the addition of sulfur, fining, or filtration, allowing the wines to fully express the purity of the fruit and the singularity of the terroir. Among the emblematic cuvées, " La Bégou " stands out as one of the best white wines of Languedoc, offering purity and depth without heaviness. " Rozeta " embodies lightness and vivacity, while " Campagnes ," made from old century-old Carignans, reveals remarkable depth and complexity. Each wine from the estate reflects Maxime Magnon's commitment to respectful viticultural practices and natural vinification, producing vibrant and sincere wines.
