Elise Dechannes
A Return to the Roots of Les Riceys
From Banking to the Vineyards of Champagne
Elise Dechannes is a vigneronne established in the renowned village of Les Riceys. Coming from a family of winemakers, she settled there in 2008 following a career change. A graduate of the École Supérieure de Commerce de Reims, Elise decided, after an accomplished career in the banking sector, to return to her homeland. This wine-growing world where she was born shaped her strong convictions and made her aware of ecological issues from a very early age.
A Vision Rooted in Respect for the Soil
For Elise, it is impossible to produce an excellent Champagne without respecting the soil and those who work it. Since the beginning of her reconversion, she has implemented high-quality and ethical production methods. The vines are treated organically with the minimum necessary doses, weeding is done manually, and the harvest is meticulous.
A Sustainable and Committed Approach
Elise Dechannes is a member of the Association Terr’Avenir, a clear sign of her commitment to sustainable and responsible viticulture. She sees herself as a guardian of the precious terroir she cares for, cultivating with a deep sense of duty towards the land and future generations.
