Domaine des Rouges Queues

Domaine des Rouges Queues was created by Jean-Yves & Isabelle Vantey in 1998. Today they own 6 hectares spread over very beautiful Burgundian appellations in the south of the Côte de Beaune. Biodynamic since 2008, the estate, nestled in the heights of the Maranges, pampers its vines with the greatest respect: plowing with horses, no insecticides or chemical weedkillers. Their work in the vineyard and in the cellar is true artisan work, of great finesse. Obviously, all plots are harvested by hand. The wines then ferment naturally with indigenous yeasts naturally present on the grapes. Subsequently, the wines are lightly filtered and rarely fined. Sulfur is used when necessary, and in small doses. The aging takes place for around 10 months in barrels of several wines and leaves little mark on the different vintages.
The estate's wines are fine and elegant, a fair representation of this haute couture work, they also present a little wild side characteristic of appellations located at altitude.
