Clarisse de Suremain
Clarisse de Suremain comes from a family of Burgundian winegrowers. A former professional pianist and holder of a management diploma, she returned in 2017 to settle in her native Burgundy. It was independently and outside the family that she found her first vines in the lower part of Pommard: Aligoté, Gamay and Pinot Noir to begin with. Her experience at Château de Puligny under the responsibility of David Didon, and at Athénaïs de Béru, led her to become interested in organic farming and biodynamics.
A few grapes in trading, notably at Thomas Pico, and plots in Côte d'Or allow him to offer his vision of natural Burgundy. She subsequently moved to Maranges, where her new vat room allowed her to continue to progress and refine her vision of wine.
We discovered Clarisse and her work, as is often the case, through mutual winegrower friends. Very early on, from 2020, we trusted each other. We are happy today to offer Clarisse wines in our cellar, but also to restaurateurs and wine merchants in France.
