The Younger Sister

The La Soeur Cadette estate is based in Vézelay, in the north of Burgundy, in Yonne. Created in 1987, the estate is today managed organically by Valentin Montanet. The estate is located on around twenty hectares today. The harvests are carried out manually.
In the vat room, interventions are reduced to the strict minimum necessary. The wines are not yeasted, not chaptalized and the use of sulphites is moderate to say the least. The wines are often aged in vats on lees, sometimes in barrels.
The wines offered by Valentin are regular, straight and precise. They are a delight for lovers of clean, unvarnished Burgundian Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
