Les Enfants Sauvages
Les Enfants Sauvages is a winegrowing estate located in the Roussillon region, more precisely in Fitou, founded by the couple Caroline and Nikolaus Bantlin. Originally from Germany, they left their professional lives to realize their dream of becoming winegrowers in 2001, after falling in love with the region while on vacation. Their estate extends over 7.5 hectares of vines, surrounded by wild Garrigue, and their first vintage was produced in 2003. Their viticultural approach is marked by a profound respect for nature, with a conversion to organic and biodynamic viticulture. They draw inspiration from regional pioneers such as Olivier Pithon to develop sustainable practices. The estate's wines are characterized by their authenticity and strong link with the terroir, integrating grape varieties typical of the region and emphasizing winemaking methods that respect thelocal ecosystem. With its emphasis on biodiversity and respect for natural cycles, Les Enfants Sauvages has established itself as an important player in the natural wine movement in France.
