Château Cazebonne

It was in 2016 that Jean-Baptiste Duquesne, creator of the site 750g.com, bought this old 40ha property located in the Bordeaux countryside in the Graves region, on 6 different islets. Jean-Baptiste ensures its conversion to organic and biodynamic methods. The Château de Cazebonne is one of the oldest properties in Saint-Pierre-de-Mons, which for the record, belonged in 1700 to Messire Pierre de Castelnau, advisor to King Louis XIV and mayor of Langon.
And History is important to Jean-Baptiste. This is why he will embark on a rather crazy and noble challenge: that of safeguarding the forgotten ampelographic heritage of Bordeaux. To do this, he will replant Bequignol, Petit Péjac, Jurançon Noir, Gros Verdot, Gros Cabernet, Penouille, Pardotte, Sauvignonasse, Mancin Castets, Saint-Macaire, Blanc Verdet and other Blanc Auba. Which in addition to playing a conservatory role will also shake up the lines of the Bordeaux appellation! Thus Château Cazebonne will open us up to original and surprising wines, and make us rediscover tastes forgotten by everyone. Bringing new tasting flavors, and above all a new diversity in Bordeaux wines.
Never one to be outdone, Jean-Baptiste was later to instigate the Bordeaux Pirates, a collective of Bordeaux residents who do not hesitate to shake up the codes, to change the image of this too often criticized vineyard...
