Oxymore
A dual-headed vision for plural wines
Two paths, one passion
Oxymore is a project with 2 heads and 4 arms: Guilhem HENRIOT and Rémi THOMAS. One a sommelier, the other a history and geography teacher, they started from scratch in 2022, creating a wine merchant company and vinifying grapes purchased in the Jura and Beaujolais regions.
Jura vineyards in their sights
In 2023, they acquired vineyards in the Jura, around Château-Chalons. While continuing their trading activity, they currently cultivate almost 2 hectares of vines in a respectful manner, in non-labelled organic production.
Natural practices and minimalist winemaking
The grapes are harvested and pressed by hand, and the grapes are gravity-fed. In the cellar, they work without inputs, using indigenous yeasts and with the aim of obtaining pure fermented grape juices faithful to their terroir.
Between Jura grapes and beyond
They love the emblematic Jura grape varieties (savagnin, poulsard), but are also keen to work with varieties from other regions (pinot gris, viognier, etc.).
