Champagne A.Lamblot
Alexandre Lamblot is based in the town of Vrigny, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. It was in his family that he learned about vines and wine. His plot therefore takes him from Vrigny to Gueux, from Janvry to Chenay, from Faverolles to Comey and again to Savigny sur Ardres. So many villages which each have their own land. Alexandre made the decision to vinify by grape variety, by terroir and by plot. There he cultivates the traditional Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and for several years so-called forgotten grape varieties: Petit Meslier, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris.
In the vineyards, he uses essential oils to strengthen and protect the vines. He braids his vines and avoids pruning, which allows him to have vines that are more resilient to attacks by fungi and other diseases. He does not use heavy machinery in the vineyards, manual work is preferred.
The winemaking is done naturally at home. No chemical yeasts, fermentations take place naturally with native yeasts. They take place in barrels and demi-muids for the most part, sometimes in stoneware jars. The cellar work is carried out respecting the lunar cycles, the work is careful and ancestral. Alexandre Lamblot also lets a large part of intuition govern his work.
