Jessica Litaud
It is on her land, in Vergisson, that we meet Jessica Litaud in the spring of 2023. The name then circulates on the lips of many wine enthusiasts. The young winemaker trained with Jean-Marie Guffens and Jean-François Ganevat, two names that will speak to all natural wine lovers.
When she returned to the family estate, Jessica decided to work alone, and therefore on a reduced surface area of 2.1 hectares. Everything is organic: weeding is done mechanically, no synthetic chemicals are used, no insecticide and no fungicide. To preserve the integrity of the grapes, Jessica favors manual harvesting in boxes. The bunches are refrigerated for half a day before being pressed. Vinification is done without inputs, with the exception of a small dose of sulfur. Aging is systematically done in old oak barrels.
Jessica therefore vinifies the terroirs of Chaintré in different climates, and Pouilly-Fuissé in several 1er Crus. We are delighted to be able, as is often the case, to support Jessica from the beginning and follow her evolution over the vintages to come.
A work to discover as quickly as possible for lovers of great Chardonnay.
