Flavien Nowack
Champagnes Nowack is above all a family story that has been going on since 1795. After several generations of winemakers, it is now Flavien who works with his father on the family estate in Vandières, in the Marne Valley. On his 3.6 hectares, Flavien intelligently and respectfully cultivates mainly Meunier, then Chardonnay and finally Pinot Noir. When he returned to the estate in 2011, he was first and foremost fascinated by the vines and sought to understand his parcels. So he came to divide up the terroirs and the plots, and he also isolated the vintages. La Fontinette, La Tuilerie, Les Arpents Rouges... all evocative names that, vintage after vintage, are beginning to find their way into the most discerning cellars...
In the cellar, he favours gentle vinification, with no inputs, and is tending towards long ageing before disgorging. Flavien's wines are always full of precision and elegance, and we see him as one of the great talents of his generation.
His passion for the vines, the landscape and the terroir contribute to the creation of pure wines of great finesse.
