Domaine de la Renardière

The story of Domaine de la Renardière began in 1990, when Jean-Michel and Laurence Petit wrote the first pages of this wine-growing adventure in the village of Pupillin. The 7-hectare Domaine de la Ren ardière stretches over red marl soils, creating an exceptional environment for the Ploussard, a grape variety that is emblematic of the region. The vines, which are around thirty years old, are nurtured usingorganic farming methods, free from chemicals, and harvested meticulously by hand. At the Domaine de la Renardière winery, Jean-Michel and Laurence Petit, joined a few years ago by their son Léo, manage the wine with the minimum of intervention, using only a small dose of sulphite as their sole input. The vinification is parcel-based, as is the ageing process, which involves harvesting, vinifying and ageing the grapes from a single isolated parcel, without mixing them with grapes from other parcels. The aim of this purist approach is to reveal the identity of a specific terroiras faithfully as possible, without seeking to alter its authenticity. Today, it's Léo, the son of Jean-Michel and Laurence Petit, who is starting to take the estate gently into his own hands, having set up his own brewery in 2016, known as "La Jurassique." He continues the family tradition at Domaine de la Renardière, producing balanced wines with powerful aromas, while adding his own personal touch. As a result, the estate is the scene of many experiments and innovations, at the intersection of tradition and modernity. Between tradition and renewal, Léo will continue to magnify this magnificent Jura appellation, bringing a contemporary vision while honouring the family heritage and the region's rich winegrowing history.
