Clément Poirel
Clément Poirel moved to Beaulieu-sur-Layon in 2020 after taking over the estate from Jean-François Chéné. The vines are located mainly on the slate hillsides of Beaulieu, the soils have been worked in organic farming since 2005. The vinification is as natural as possible, and the reds are crisp, with little alcohol (between 9.5% and 10. 5%). Clément, who thinks in the long term, has opted directly for a long aging of his Chenin wines, two years in barrel.
