Elise Dechannes
Elise Dechannes is a winemaker based in the renowned village of Riceys. Coming from a family of winegrowers, she settled in 2008 following a professional reconversion. A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Reims, she decided, after an accomplished career in the banking sector, to return home. This wine world where she was born shaped her convictions and made her aware of ecological issues very early on. Elise Dechannes considers herself the custodian of the precious terroir for which she is responsible. For her, it is impossible to produce excellent champagne without respecting the soil and those who work it.
Since the beginning of its reconversion, it has adopted demanding qualitative and ethical production methods. The vines are treated organically and at the minimum necessary doses, weeding is manual, the harvest is meticulous.
She is a member of the Terr'Avenir Association, a sign of her commitment and her sustainable and responsible approach.
