Domaine de la Cras
Originally from the Jura region, Marc Soyard took over the management of Domaine de la Cras in 2013, located on the northern edge of the Côte de Nuits in the Dijon area. This unique estate, acquired by the Communauté d'Agglomération du Grand Dijon, covers 160 hectares, 8 of which are planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. The aim of this acquisition was to preserve the agglomeration's green belt and keep peri-urban agriculture alive. Greater Dijon entrusted management to the Côte-d'Or Chamber of Agriculture, which appointed Marc Soyard to run the vineyard.
Marc Soyard has a wealth of experience, acquired in particular with Jean-Yves Bizot, and converted all the vines to organic farming as soon as he arrived. An enthusiast of natural wines, he uses as few inputs as possible, adding only a few grams of SO2 if necessary. His meticulous work in the vineyard, combined with a biodynamic approach and carefully considered ageing, is reflected in wines full of energy and character, actively participating in the revival of Burgundy.
Marc Soyard is renowned for his conviviality and generosity, and his wines are highly prized. The "Tercet" cuvées, on the other hand, are made from purchased grapes, not from the estate's own vin
