Domaine du Pont de Breux

Founded in 1991 by Jean-Charles Maire, Domaine du Pont de Breux saw a new dynamic take shape in 2015, when Émilie Gerard took over the reins. Nestling in the north of the Jura, in the communes of Marnoz and Salins-les-Bains, the estate covers 4 hectares. After a career change, Émilie chose to focus on the world of winegrowing. She is fully committed to carrying on the legacy of her predecessor, who obtained organic farming certification in 1998. Émilie has opted for environmentally-friendly growing methods, working the vines at Domaine du Pont de Breux by hand, encouraging natural grass cover and renouncing the use of chemical fertilisers and fungicides. In the cellar, Émilie makes her wines as naturally as possible, harvesting by hand, using indigenous yeasts and avoiding all inputs. She is committed to preserving the authenticity of the grapes and reflecting the nature of the Jura terroir as closely as possible in her cuvées. Under Émilie Gerard's leadership, Domaine du Pont de Breux is taking on a new lease of life, embracing a viticultural approach that respects nature and tradition, while exploring the unique potential of this exceptional wine-growing region of the Jura.
