Sylvain Pataille

Sylvain Pataille, a winegrower based in Marsannay in the Côte de Nuits, embodies passion and commitment to his profession. His career began modestly in 1999, with just one hectare of vines, and has grown to 17 hectares today, divided between Marsannay and Chenôve. The winery, acquired in Chenôve in 2004, harmoniously complements the old vaulted cellar in Marsannay, dedicated to barrel ageing.
Thanks to his expertise and his commitment to biodynamic agriculture since 2008, Sylvain Pataille has established himself as a key figure on the Burgundy wine scene. His respectful approach to nature is reflected in hand-picking and delicate vinification, favouring gentle pressing and barrel ageing for 15 to 18 months.
An ardent defender of the terroirs of Marsannay and Chenôve, the winemaker makes it a point of honour to allow the character of his vines to express themselves fully. He works his plots meticulously, favouring traditional methods and minimal intervention. The result? Authentic, lively wines, marked by their terroir and their unique personality.
