Benoit Rosenberger
Originally from Sancerre and from a family not at all involved in the wine business, Benoit decided at the age of 20 to study for a BTSA Viti-oeno, and then worked for a good ten years in Champagne in so-called "conventional" wineries. This chemical approach to wine turned him away from the field, and he decided to go back to school to become a computer engineer. Which he did for another ten years! In 2011, it was a revelation: the call of nature was strong, and his desire to work outdoors led him to take over a small plot of land in Auvergne, where he had followed his partner at the time. The story had begun! He picked up small plots left and right, and decided to finally make wine by and for himself. Not wanting to repeat his past experiences, and out of common sense, he decided to work in a natural way both in the vineyard and in the cellar, giving priority to working the vines and banning the use of sulfur and all chemical substances in his wines.
Today, Benoit works and vinifies 4 hectares in the heart of this magnificent Auvergne terroir, to the delight of us and our palates.
