Ruppert-Leroy

The Ruppert-Leroy estate exudes an unusual atmosphere of calm and serenity. The plateau - where the family lives, in harmony with the animals, the vines and the winery - seems to be out of time. Formerly gym teachers, Emmanuel & Bénédicte turned to wine in 2009 after many years spent in tasting clubs in Burgundy and the Jura. They have retained a certain fondness for oxidative processes.
The farm, which is virtually self-sufficient, is run according to biodynamic principles. Everything is done to produce quality grapes, ready to be vinified in the simplest way possible. Most of the cuvées are parcel-based, but here and there you'll find a soléra, a blend of different parcels or a champagne made from must...
Now recognised among their peers, the Ruppert-Leroy family welcomes and trains many aspiring winemakers.
