Chai Amandine & Quentin

Amandine Bureau, head of urban development operations in Paris, and Quentin Javoy, originally from Orléans, had lives far removed from the vineyard before meeting. In 2016, Amandine, then aged 33, decided to leave her Parisian life and learn the art of winemaking. She is launching into woofing, a new way to travel and learn on organic farms around the world. At the same time, Quentin Javoy, originally from a family wine farm in Mézières-lez-Cléry, also feels the need for change. He fulfilled his dream of participating in grape harvests in the southern hemisphere and landed in Osorno, Chile. What should have been a simple journey turns into destiny. Quentin begins working on a wine farm, for which he quickly takes responsibility. In France, Amandine continues her journey through woofing while taking steps to integrate a BTS in viticulture/oenology in the Jura. In 2017, she took off and landed in Osorno, where she met “her Quentin”. Love at first sight is immediate. However, Amandine must return to France to continue her studies and obtain her BTS. Despite the distance, their love endures. After graduating, they decided to settle down together and create their own trading and winemaking company, SAS Chai Amandine et Quentin, in 2018.
They chose to settle in Mézières-lez-Cléry, near the family wine estate. Since then, they have pooled their skills to make natural wines, from different grape varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Gamay and Chardonnay. They harvest manually, vinify naturally and do not use filtration to preserve aromas as much as possible and offer authentic wines that reflect their terroir. A lovely discovery not to be missed!
