Vini Libre

Vinilibre is the project led by Christophe Bosque, an artisan who juggles the hats of merchant, winemaker, and winegrower, with a pinch of madness and driven by the desire to interpret a soil. He grew up in a family that worshiped good wine, so it was only natural that he threw himself into studying viticulture and oenology, during which he trained in winemaking. At the beginning, he was on the side of winegrowers' agents and natural wine sellers. But in 2017, he took the plunge to become a full-fledged artisan winemaker. He got his hands on vines, created his own vintages, and gave birth to Vinilibre, in the town of Gorges in the heart of Muscadet. It is there, on a little less than 2 hectares, that he pampers old Burgundy Melon vines. The particularity is that he pampers his vines without taking out the chemical arsenal. Christophe wants his vines to feel good, so he limits inputs and trusts native yeasts. The objective? Let the Burgundy Melon express itself in its own way, in complete freedom. But Vinilibre is not just a little corner of vines. It is also a negotiable business, which means that Christophe acts as conductor for other grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. His credo is always the same: let the grape variety speak. He finds his grapes from other artisan winegrowers, whether they are known, recognized, or young talents just waiting to be discovered.
