Domaine de la Petite Soeur

Another talented winemaker with promising youth! Adrien De Mello cut his teeth on the other side of the Atlantic, in Quebec, where he learned the art of transforming grapes into wine. His beginnings familiarized him with classic and traditional methods of winemaking, an experience which confirmed his vocation. Adrien De Mello continued his training in viti-oenology in Beaune, alongside prestigious winegrowers such as Philippe Pacalet and the Derain brothers, before multiplying his experiences in the Rhône valley.
Adrien De Mello then set down his bags in South Africa, the United States, then again in Quebec. These experiences constituted a true school of vines, winemaking, and natural wine. Finally, it was in Châteauneuf-du-Pape that Adrien carried out his first vinification in natural mode, within a biodynamic estate, an approach that he would later adopt within his own estate.
After having acquired solid experience in the southern Rhône valley, Adrien returned to the Loire in 2015 to settle there permanently. He created his own estate, the Petite Sœur estate, on just under 4 hectares of vines already worked in organic farming. The vines are often plowed with the help of Toscane, the estate's mare.
Adrien's wines have something exceptional. They stand out for their sincerity, their freshness, and their juicy character, all elements dear to the Loire region. Adrien De Mello is particularly distinguished by his ability to produce ripe, precise Cabernet, moving away from the vegetal style that we can sometimes associate with these grape varieties. His wines combine acidity and elegance, offering a great discovery that we are delighted to share with you. Adrien De Mello embodies the promising future of viticulture, with his commitment to naturalness and his undeniable talent for producing exceptional wines.
