Anders Frederik Steen and Anne Bruun Blauert
Anders Frederik Steen and Anne Bruun Blauert , emblematic figures of natural wine, embody a free and artistic approach to viticulture. Based in Valvignères, in Ardèche , they share a unique vision where wine becomes a true expression of the living. Anders, a former sommelier, left the Michelin-starred restaurants to delve into the world of winemaking, first collaborating with winemakers such as Jean-Marc Brignot before forging his own path. At his side, Anne, an architect by training, brings a unique sensitivity and an innovative perspective, making their approach even more complete. The estate is based on a simple but audacious philosophy: to work without compromise, in absolute respect of natural cycles. On clay-limestone and volcanic soils, they cultivate a mosaic of grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Merlot, Clairette and Chardonnay. The raisins, harvested at perfect maturity, are vinified without any additives , revealing vintages of astonishing purity and marked by sincerity. Their vinification is an adventure in itself: each vintage tells a unique story, guided by intuition and attentive listening to the grape. The wines, often blends of grape varieties or resulting from long macerations , are distinguished by their vibrant energy, their explosive aromatic palette, and a captivating texture. Anders and Anne do not limit themselves to conventions; their labels, as surprising as their vintages, suggest boundless creativity. Through their wines, Anders Frederik Steen and Anne Bruun Blauert redefine the very idea of terroir, offering bottles marked by spontaneity, freedom and emotion. These are living wines, to be tasted as one discovers a work of art: with curiosity, wonder, and the desire to share.
