In 2020, the Dietrich brothers from Domaine Achillée saw one of their many ideas germinate: setting up a collective of winegrowers from Alsace who wish to combine their strength to promote natural wine. This collective will bear the name Pépin. All working organically and following strict specifications (no use of synthetic chemicals, manual harvesting, vinification with native yeasts, no “violent” intervention during vinification, no addition of sulphite), the winegrowers wish to highlight the great Alsatian terroir and above all to democratize the natural wine of this region to as many people as possible. Armed with their desire to create a real social bond, the committed winegrowers of the Pépin collective make it a point of honor to create healthy and lively wines, paying tribute to the atmosphere of celebration and sharing!
With Michel Tolmer, an illustrator and author well known to natural wine lovers, they created simple and quickly iconic labels.

The Pépin collective thus presents us each vintage with 5 permanent vintages of natural wine: a white, a red, an orange, a rosé and a pet nat. If the framework remains the same, and if Jean Dietrich, who supervises the winemaking, wants to keep a common thread vintage after vintage, Pépin allows himself to reinvent himself according to the grapes. These vintages delight our customers at the cellar, but also our restaurateur friends to whom we represent them. Opening a bottle of Pépin is the assurance of spending a convivial moment with friends and family, while discovering a new facet of the Alsatian vineyard through the prism of natural wine.
